##Itinéraire
Le gardien a fait un remarquable travail de balisage yc nocturne pour monter au Galenjoch (catadioptres sur le glacier, ensuite points fluorescents puis points rouges, etc).
Pour gagner le Galenjoch, il faut retourner sur le chemin de montée à la cabane Bordier, traverser le glacier, puis repérer une vire herbeuse oblique pour accéder au Galenjoch. Vire humide, se méfier. 
Depuis le Galenjoch, suivre l'arête...
Escalader et traverser le Chli Dirruhorn (quelques pas de III sur le fil puis dans une petite dalle fissurée, 1 piton à chaque endroit), puis le Dirruhorn. Descente du Dirruhorn d'abord un peu dans la face W puis de nouveau sur l'arête.
Dans la montée au Hohberghorn, un éboulement de l'arête contraint de descendre côté ouest 20m, afin d'éviter cette zone (le rocher est sale, zone "sablonneuse" à éviter). Délicat, mauvais assurage, puis remonter à l'arête. Quelques zones en neige (cramponner) puis la fin du Hohberghorn se passe en rocher, dans la face NE (à côté de la belle face en neige/glace).
La montée au Stecknadelhorn est peu difficile et pas si exposée contrairement aux apparences. Elle se passe sur l'arête et parfois dans la face W. Seuls les 20 derniers mètres sont vertigineux.
Pour terminer, on peut traverser à flanc les pentes de neige en versant N pour éviter un gendarme et rejoindre la voie normale du Nadelhorn que l'on termine jusqu'à la croix 4327m. Possibilité de couper sous ce sommet pour gagner une petite heure. C'est le seul échappatoire valable de l'itinéraire.

##Descente
Par la voie normale du Nadelhorn (arête rocheuse au départ) puis neige jusqu'au Windjoch a 3850m. Deux variantes:    
* Remonter à l'Ulrichhorn 3925m puis descendre par les pentes de neige sur le Riedglestcher (en longeant une sorte d'arête à gauche). Traverser le plateau pour rejoindre la trace de montée vers 3400m (attention zone assez crevassée). de là idem montée.
* Descendre directement sur le glacier en franchissant rimaye. Puis à plat, tirer plein N jusqu'à la rive droite du glacier
La descente du glacier se fait sur sa rive droite (passablement de crevasses bien ouvertes).

Hobärghorn / Hohberghorn

### Subida
Desde la cabaña de Mischabel coger la vía normal de Nadelhorn pasando por el Windjoch, luego a 4200 m atravesar bajo el gendarme para llegar a la arista Nadelhorn-Stecknadelhorn. es el paso más delicado en una pendiente de 45 grados que puede estar helada (sino seguir la vía normal del Nadelhorn, luego tirar a la derecha para llegar a lo alto del gendarme que destrepamos en grado de III). Seguir la arista sin dificultad hasta el Stecknadelhorn.

### Descenso
Bajar en el filo de la arista rocosa (roca deslizada pero no difícil), para pasar al Hobärgjoch (podemos escapar cogiendo un corredor de nieve no muy vertical, cotación PD, que permite llegar a la vía normal de Dom), luego remontar al Hobärghorn, bajar siguiendo más o menos a la arista, pasar el Dirrujoch luego remontar en roca buena poco difícil al Dirruhorn. Desde entonces, seguir la arista rocosa en muy mala roca remontando rápido al Chli Dirruhorn. Un rápel equipado con una docena de metros. Seguir la arista pasando cada vez en cuando cornisa lado W para llegar al Galenjoch. Seguir la arista en dirección del Gugla hasta hacia 3330 m luego a por una senda (hitos y marcas rosas) que bajan flanqueando dirección NW. Seguir la senda (hitos), pasar a la izquierda del punto 3028, luego hacia 2790 tirar a la derecha para pasar bajo las barras rocosas ("catadioptre" e hitos) y llegar al camino del refugio Bordier, luego bajar sobre Gasenried. ojo, no intentar bajar al W pero seguir la senda que baja al N bajo el Breithorn.

Recorrido largo, pero seguro comparado con el corredor de Dirrujoch. Contar 3 h hasta el gendarme de Nadelhorn, 3 h hasta Durrihorn, 3 h hasta Galenjoch, 3 h hasta Gasenried.

Dirruhorn / Dürrenhorn

## Approach

From Gasenreid to the Bordier Hut or from Saas Fee, (Hannig cable car) to the Mischabel hut

From the Bordier hut (2886m), take the path marked with reflectors which after passing through some large boulders leads to the Riedgletscher moraine (p. 2973m). Follow the path up the moraine until about 3000m then traverse to the right (faint path) to the glacier. Follow the intermittent path between the glacier and the moraine until about 3250m. Go onto the glacier and up to a level section at about 3300m. Go under the ridge coming down from the Balfrin and pass, on the true right bank, a wall of crevasses which ends at the Riedgletscher plateau at around 3400m. Firstly go SE and at around 3500m go diagonally to the right to reach the foot of NE gully, about 3700m) coming down from the Dirrujoch, passing under a serac zone to the N of the Hohberghorn. (Do not go directly towards the gully as there are a lot of crevasses.)

From the Mischabel hut (3329m), follow the path to the E on a rocky ridge towards the Hohbalmgletscher plateau, which you join at around 3600m. Traverse horizontally to the snow slope under the Windjoch and go up this to the col (3850m). Descend the NW side of the Windjoch towards the Riedgletscher plateau at about 3540m. From here go to the foot of the NE gully descending from the Dirrujoch and so join the route Bordier hut. If the NW side of the Windjoch is in bad condition, it is better to climb the Ulrichschorn (3925m) by its SW ridge and then descend the snow slopes on its N face to the Riedgletscher plateau.

## Route

Cross the bergschrund and, if the gully is snowed up all the way, climb this to the Dirrujoch (3912m). If the gully is not in condition, go diagonally right over rocks after about 80m. (Old abseil points are visible.) Climb up the rocks, keeping to the right of the abseil points to reach the ridge between the Dirrujoch and the Dirruhorn, (broken rock II-III).

From the Dirrujoch (3912m) climb up and back down the easy but broken rocks to the Dirruhorn (4035m).

From the Dirrujoch again, follow the ridge towards the Hohberghorn. This is initially rocky, (taken mainly on the SW side) then, at around 4050m, a snowy ridge leads to the summit mound. Climb the buttress keeping a few metres to the left, (mixed, steep, but fairly easy) until the ridge and the summit of the Hohberghorn (4219m).

Descend the easy snow ridge to the col between the Hohberghorn and the Stecknadelhorn (4144m) then climb the rocky ridge, (again keeping mainly to the SW side,) to the summit of the Stecknadelhorn (4241m).

Descend the NE side until the snow (about 4220m) then go along the snowy ridge towards the Nadelhorn. A little before the summit the ridge steepens and becomes rocky. Traverse a pinnacle (III) and after a short snow section join the N ridge, (normal route) of the Nadelhorn, and follow this for the last 50m to the summit (4327m). N.B. To avoid the pinnacle, it is possible to join the N ridge lower down by contouring the N slopes under the summit. (Awkward if the slopes are icy.)

*Variant 1. The gully leading to the col (3860m) between the Dirruhorn and the Chli Dirruhorn:* Follow the previous route from the Bordier Hut to the Riedgletscher plateau and climb the obvious gully between the Dirruhorn and the Chli Dirruhorn, exitting to the right. This gully can be very dangerous in less than perfect conditions. Follow the ridge to the summit of the Dirruhorn (4035m)

*Variant 2. Via the Galenjoch (3303):* This route avoids the gullies and may be preferable in dry conditions. It is aesthetically more pleasing as it traverses the entire ridge. From the Bordier hut go back down across the glacier on the approach path from Gasenried. Shortly after reaching the true left bank (around 2700m) there is a track marked by reflectors with some cables etc. This path eventually reaches the Galenjoch (1h30 - 2h). It is difficult to follow, especially in the dark so ask the guardian for more precise details. From the Galenjoch follow the ridge, initially very broad and easy, then steeper with broken rocks to go over the Chli Dirruhorn (3890m) and so to the col in variant 1. (AD, III)

## Descent

By the N ridge, (normal route,) of the Nadelhorn, to the Windjoch (3850m). From here:

- to go back to the Bordier hut (2886m), descend to the Riedgletscher plateau, (see above) and so join the approach route.

- to go back to the Mischabel hut (3329m), follow the approach route for that hut.

Long, classic route at altitude, typical of the Valais, the rock also!. The gully leading up to the Dirrujoch can be awkward in dry conditions. Worse, there is a serious stonefall risk, especially after sunrise. The rocks to the right of the gully are very loose. Beware if there are other parties on the route. Going to the summits of the Dirruhorn and the Nadelhorn can be avoided, (you gain about 1h for each.) With global warming it is possible that the route via the Galenjoch will become the preferred option.

Nadelhorn

## Descenso

1) Por la arista NNW hasta Dirrujoch, y volver hacia la Dirrugrat. Flanqueando desde el rellano glaciar, llegamos a una serie de torres grandes rojizas (mano izquierda), que bordean varios grandes corredores. Podemos, de travesía dirección Dirrugrat, caminar por una serie de cornisas y corredores. Fácil, a condición de no bajar demasiado, esos corredores terminan por acantilados. Llegamos entonces a la arista justo encima de la travesía delicada donde está el hito, que pasar en sentido contrario. Desde el collado, podemos bajar por aquel corredor (nieve o piedritas) hasta abajo, luego llegamos al inicio de la arista y el bivac.

2) Si seguimos la Nadelgrat, volver por el Bordiergletscher.

3) Si vamos luego al Dirruhorn, volver por el Chli Dirruhorn y el Galenjoch o la Dirrugrat completa (ver reseña).

4) El corredor de Dirrujoch no es aconsejable al bajar.

Itinerario variado, ambiente salvaje y soledad asegurada. Roca deslizante en los flancos, algún paso más sólido en la arista.

D1: inicio Randa&#160;: ideal para hacerlo de un tiron o para una bajada driecta 1) desde Randa, seguir le sendero para Chüebodmen y llegar al Europaweg justo después de la pasarela grande de l&#8217;Hohberge. dejar el sendero y subir hacia el Dirrupfad, tirar al E (no muy lejos porque al pie del glaciar hay paredes) y escalar cornisas herbosas entrecortados de rocas fáciles en dirección E hasta llegar a la arista, base de la Dirrugrat, hacia 3000&#160;m. Seguir la arista, a veces algo en el flanco S. sitios de bivac hacia 3177, no hay agua, nieve ,en el glaciar o neveros. 2) Igual hasta Europaweg, luego seguir dirección Galenberg hasta el P.2602, cerca de un riachuelo. Remontar pendientes herbosas, bonito sitio de bivac de hierba con agua hacia 2844&#160;o seguir remontando la vieja morrena del Dirrugletscher hasta arriba (3100&#160;m). Rellano de piedra con agua para el bivac. Inicio desde Gasenried&#160;: practico si queremos hacer una circular bajando por la vertiente Bordier Subemos 300&#160;m mas arriba, pero los perdemos en Europaweg y hay mas kilometros. La vuelta por aquí desde Galenberg es penosa (300&#160;m de remontada sobre 5&#160;km, cuando queremos bajar, es largo!) 1) Desde Schalbettu, bajar la carretera y atravesar el puente, subir en la cresta (Grat), luego seguir Europaweg hasta Galenberg o Hohberge, segun el itinerario elegido. (ver mas arriba) D2: Desde el bivac al pie del Dirrugletscher, a por el collado 3180&#160;m sobre la Dirrugrat. Remontar la cara mas bien a la derecha en la arena y alguna grada fácil (placas a la izquierda!) para llegar a la arista (llegamos al sitio de bivac del acceso 1). Seguir la arista quedando algo E, hasta el pie de un resalte grande, sortear el pie a la derecha por graveras algún minuto, luego subir sobre una cornisa superior de izquierda a derecha saliendo por una chimenea (paso de oposición, buenas presas). llegar a la arista y seguirla. en la cumbre de una pequeña punta , bajar por una cornisa flanco S. Una segunda punta se baja por una cornisa flanco S (deslizado) o en el filo y llegamos a un collado encima de un largo corredor deslizado. iniciar la arista que sigue por una travesía delicada hacia la derecha (muy deslizado, bloque de anclaje) en dirección de &#8220;mi&#8221; hito. (Util para no perderse en la bajada!). Remontar el corredor arenoso, llegar al filo de la arista. Un resalte de rocas rojas solidas, algo a la derecha del filo, se pasa directamente (III, presas buenas) nos encontramos entonces encima del tramo de seracs de lo alto de l&#8217;Hobärggletscher. llegar al glaciar y remontarlo en su mitad. después de la pendiente grande, en vez de pasar la rimaya, tirar a llano hacia el W, y escalar la arista WNW que baja de la cumbre. Nieve o roca tu mismo, el resalte (bonita escalada) se puede sortear por una pendiente de nieve a la derecha. llegamos a la arista N a algún paso de la cumbre. <h2>Descenso</h2> 1) por la arista NNW hasta Dirrujoch, y volver hacia la Dirrugrat. flanqueando desde el rellano glaciar, llagamos a una serie de torres grandes rojizas (mano izquierda), que bordean varios grandes corredores. podemos , de traves dirección Dirrugrat, caminar por una serie de cornisas y corredores. Fácil, a condición de no bajar demasiado, esos corredores termina por acantilados. llegamos entonces a la arista justo encima de la travesía delicada donde esta el hito, que pasar en sentido contrario. Desde el collado, podemos bajar por aquel corredor (nieve o piedritas) hasta abajo, luego llegamos al inicio de la arista y el bivac. 2) Si seguimos la Nadelgrat, volver por el Bordiergletscher 3) Si vamos luego al Dirruhorn, volver por el Chli Dirruhorn y el Galenjoch o la Dirrugrat completa (ver reseña) 4) el corredor de Dirrujoch no es aconsejable al bajar

por la Dirrugat y la vertiente NW

De la cabane Bordierhütte, suivre au début la conduite d'eau et les nombreux cairns puis uniquement les cairns pour rejoindre la moraine. Ensuite suivre le sentier sur celle-ci jusqu'au talweg que l'on remonte (cairns) à côté du torrent. Rester du côté gauche (en montant) de la langue du glacier jusqu'à ce que l'on peut aisément prendre pied sur celui-ci (~3250m) et partir à droite. Traverser la combe glaciaire sous le Bigerhorn pour arriver au pied de la zone crevassée et raide qui se trouve au pied de l'arête SW du sommet NW du Balfrin. 
Plusieurs options existent selon les conditions pour remonter la pente crevassée :

- remonter la pente et rejoindre sur la gauche le plus tard possible les rochers très branlants et instables du Balfrin que l'on emprunte pour reprendre pied sur le glacier le plus tôt possible

- passer main-droite entre les crevasses - plus rapide et élégant, si le glacier est coopératif

Du grand plateau à une altitude de 3500 m, pointer vers le sérac sur l'axe vertical du Stecknadelhorn. 3 possibilités, celle du milieu est la plus logique si la grosse crevasse passe, celle de gauche la plus longue, celle de droite la plus raide.

Vous atteignez le plateau à une altitude de 3800 m, que l'on traverse rapidement (séracs menaçant juste avant la face). 

Monter la face directement sous le sommet, 50-55°.

Bella combinazione che permette di percorrere parzialmente la classicissima Nadelgrat, su terreno vario ed in ambiente glaciale grandioso.  
Prestare particolare attenzione al passaggio sulla terrazza glaciale a quota 3800 m. circa, sotto la grande seraccata sospesa tra l'Hohbärghorn 4219 m. e lo Stecknadelhorn 4241 m. (pericolo caduta ghiaccio).  
La parete NE è paragonabile, ma più breve, alla più blasonta e frequentata parete NE della Lenzspitze 4294 m.

Dalla Mischabelhutte si segue l&#8217;itinerario per il Windjoch 3850&#160;m&#160;; si sale sul crinale roccioso dietro la capanna, seguendo le indicazioni di vernice sulla roccia e gli ometti (W). Si supera una cisterna (gasex su versante Sud della cresta) e si raggiunge la quota 3600&#160;m. Puntare verso l’ evidente parete NE dell&#8217;Hohbärghorn 4219&#160;m. traversando in piano verso SW , sotto la cresta NE del Nadelhorn 4327&#160;m. , e salendo un ripidissimo pendio di un centinaio di metri, districandosi tra grossi crepacci e seracchi , che permette di raggiungere la terrazza glaciale a quota 3800m circa, sotto la cresta tra l’Hohbärghorn 4219&#160;m. e lo Stecknadelhorn 4241&#160;m. (1,30 h). Raggiungere l’attacco della parte NE dell ‘Hohbärghorn 4219&#160;m. traversando verso W la terrazza glaciale e passando velocemente sotto la grande seraccata sospesa (pericolo caduta ghiaccio); valicata la terminale salire più o meno al centro la bella parete NE con pendenze comprese tra i 50° e i 55° , uscendo direttamente in punta o poco più a E in funzione delle condizioni (2/3,00 h ). Dalla punta scendere la cresta nevosa sino allo Stecknadeljoch 4142&#160;m. e risalire la successiva cresta rocciosa rimanendo spesso a destra del filo sino sulla punta rocciosa dello Stecknadelhorn 4241&#160;m. ( passaggi di II°+&#160;; 1,30 h). Scendere per facili roccette sulla cresta nevosa verso il Nadelhorn 4327&#160;m. e seguirla sin sotto un pronunciato gendarme; con buone condizioni della neve si può aggirare a sinistra sino a congiungersi via normale della cresta NE . Altrimenti lo si scavalca ( III°) e si prosegue per terreno delicato ( fessura – 40m III°) sino in punta al Nadelhorn 4327&#160;m. (1,00 h - tot. 6,30/7,30 h) Discesa&#160;: per la via normale sulla cresta NE del Nadelhorn 4327&#160;m. sino al Windjoch 3850&#160;m. e poi per l’itinerario di salita sino alla Mischabelhutte 3340&#160;m. (1,30 h)

Parete NE del Hohberghorn e traversata allo Stecknadelhorn

Von der Domhütte auf der Dom-Normalroute bis zum Festijoch und von dort bis zum Wandfuss unter dem Hobärghoch queren. Start im Auslauf des Couloirs, dann möglichst bald etwas nach Westen queren und hochsteigen bis man éstlich des Gipfels auf den Hobärghorn Ostgrat aussteigen kann. Von dort unschwierig auf den Gipfel. Abfahrt auf der gleichen Route
