<p>Ascent: From the Franz-Senn Hütte, head SE, up the Alpeinerferner until 2650m. Go N up the moraine and the Verborgenen Bergferner. Pass the Turmscharte (fixed ropes) and head E to the summit of Vorderer Wilder Turm.</p> <p>Descent: either same way or down the Turmferner: Head E down the Turmferner, stay on the right bank, continue down the valley until around 2700m, and turn S (there should be a pole), find the narrow steep corridor (40 degrees, 2m wide for about 10-20m) through the cliffs around 2650m, continue to the moraine on top of the Alpeinerferner, ski down the moraine (lots of rocks), and then back to Franz-Senn Hütte</p> <p>Big crevasses just north of Turmscharte and Vorderer Wilder Turm, do not try to skip the summit.</p> <p>Fairly easy skiing, finding the small corridor through the cliffs can be tricky, but there should be one or two poles to indicate.</p>

<h2>Uphill</h2> <p>From the Franz Senn Hut] (2147m) ski uphill along Alpeiner Bach (to the SW). Reach Alpeiner Ferner (glacier). At 2700m turn right SW and start ascending&#160;; keep to the right SE of the Verborgener-Berg Ferner. Mount onto the glacier from a saddle at 2900m. Ascent to Turmscharte (3100m) on the rocky ridge which surrounds the glacier on its north - there you will find a fixed rope - climb up a steep slope (approx. 20&#160;m) to reach the top of the col. Then continue on Berglasferner NE to reach the summit Wildes Hinterbergl (3288m)</p> <h2>Downhill</h2> <p>Several ways back down:<br /> * easiest: same as ascent * hardest and most exposed to crevasses: via Berglasferner - abseiling and ascent on rope obligatory! * moderate: (good visibility essential!!) ski back to Turmscharte - then head east on Turmferner (crevasses clearly visible) - ski downb versus point 2892m in the SE (right corner when looking down) of the glacier (further left there are huge serac) - find you way down in between the rocks and find poles on the right hand side which show you the way through a small rather steep (40 degree) couloir - ski down NE along the Moraine (mind your skis! there are some rocks when there is little snow) until you reach the Alpeiner Bach which leads back to the Franz-Senn Hütte.</p>
