From Finsteraarhornhütte:
Climb down to Fieschergletscher, stay on the left bank until you reach the debris under Gemschlicke, around 2800m. Cross the glacier going S, in direction of the 2816 point on the map. Then stay on the right bank and go down the glacier. The crevasses get progressively bigger, and you might have to go in the rocks a bit, but stay on the edge of the glacier as much as possible. Around 2400m, where the cliff on the right seem to make a turn, leave the glacier by climbing ~20m on the right. There should be lots of kairns.
Stay on the flat terrace in the cliffs, follow the cairns and yellow markings, until you reach the ladders. Go down the ladders and get back on the glacier around 2160m. Go to the middle of the glacier (should be the only debris-free part), and go down the glacier, until the crevasses get too big to cross, around 2000m. Then go to the left bank, along the cliff, where it should be better. Once the turn of the glacier is passed, start rejoining the middle, then right bank of the glacier again. Around 1750m, there should be like a valley between the moraines on the right bank, follow it until the end of the glacier. Make sure to be on the right side of the glacier before the river…
Reach the river, where there is a little beach. From there, either climb the 80m of ladders on the right to Burghütte, or continue a bit along the river (boulders with chains to pass), and (very easy) climb in a rocky gully (careful of falling stones) until you join the path at the top, about 100m SW of Burghütte.
From there, it is about 2h to Fiesh, but Burghütte is a very nice place to spend the night.
Lots of crevasses on the Fieschergletscher, make sure you have good visibility. The ladders at the end to get to Burghütte do not look inviting, the slightly longer way through the rocks is very nice.
The wardens in both Bordierhüttte and Finsteraarhornhüttte both know the way and can explain it in details. As the glaciers melt, the path might be different each year.
