De Carena, suivre la route (autorisée sur 2 km.) puis monter par le côté alpe Giumello, sur la “route du fer” et monter jusqu’au col avec un superbe panorama. Juste au-dessous versant Italie, se trouve le grand refuge.
Descente par la droite, en passant par Giggio et suivant le torrent.
