Le Tour - Ruisseau du Picheu
A nice, homogeneous ice fall, fairly broad, giving several lines. Good situation. The approach is often best done on skis.
Approach
As you enter the main parking area for the Tour ski lifts, there is a road on the right which leads to a little car park at the foot of the beginners slopes. From here the ice fall is clearly visible. Walk up the left hand edge of the beginners pistes until it is possible to make a rising traverse rightwards towards the foot of the icefall, the last part being in an easy angled gully.
Route
Gives 2 or 3 pitches of homogeneous climbing at 60/70º, with in-situ belays either on the right or the left.
Descent
Abseilling, equipped both the right and left, mostly on bolts but with some “bush belays”.
Be aware of avalanches that may come over the ice fall.
