## Approach

90mins  
From Sixt en Cheval, take the road towards the Cascade du Rouget (via Salvagny) and go past the ski lifts.  
Often the road is closed, (and not snow ploughed.) Park as far up as you can!  
Follow the GR5 footpath leading to "Vallon de Salles". On exiting the forest, the icefalls can be seen on the left.

## Route

**P1:** 3, 3+ Broad icefall with lots of possibilities, some steeper than others. Belay in the rocks on the left, (difficult limestone slab if there is no ice!)

**P2:** Short traverse, then a steep wall at 4 for 5m, followed by several steps at 3. Tree belay

<p>On regroupe dans ce massif le chaînon des Dents du Midi (partie la plus septentrionale), le massif du Haut-Giffre, de Sixt et de Faucigny (ce dernier incluant la chaîne des Fiz), ainsi que les Aiguilles Rouges, séparées du massif du Mont-Blanc par l&#8217;Arve.</p>
