## Approach

Park at the end of the village at the start of the ski de fond. From the parking follow the ski de fond track. Cross the river 50m before an obvious large boulder and take a path on the right leading to the Antoldi Malvezzi bivouac. Follow the path, passing on the right Tuborg (4+/5), il Candelabro del Coyote (4+/5), Chandelle Levure (4+), Fenilliaz (2) and Vertigine Porcellana (3). When you arrive at the foot of the wall of Grand Val, go up the bed of the stream to the right until the foot of the Henninger icefall.

## Route

**P1:** 60m 70° with a short runnel at 80°. Belay on the left in a cave. (Possible to divide this pitch in two with a belay, not set up, on the left.)  
**P2:** 30m short column at 85°. Belay at the rocks on the right or higher up at a large pine tree.

## Descent

Abseil back down the route, equipped.

A nice gully climb. The belays are equipped with old pegs and slings. Some prefer to use ice screws.

Cogne - Valeille

<p>Le Grand Paradis est un massif des Alpes situé dans le Val d&#8217;Aoste et le Piémont. Avec 4061m, le sommet du Grand Paradis en est le point culminant. Le massif est constitué principalement de roches cristallines ainsi que de schistes.</p> <p>Le parc national du Grand Paradis a été créé en 1922. Il recouvre environ la moitié W du massif et jouxte le parc national de la Vanoise, côté français.</p>
