La Grave - Combe de Laurichard - Cristal Sympa
One of the four beginner ice-falls of the Laurichard. Although not sustained, it is long and narrow, making it very impressive and goulotte-like.
Approach# 30 minutes
From the Lautaret pass, aim for the right margin of the Combe de Laurichard (on your left going up). There are four beginner ice-falls on the first buttresses of the Combeynot.
Cristal Sympa is the fourth and last ice-fall from the left. Go up a narrow gully to reach the base of a first steep section: 20m at 60-70°. Go up a second snow section to reach another ice wall (10m at 75°). Continue up the gully to a small plateau.
The descent route is obvious, using snow slopes on the right once exited the gully.
