It’s one of the best crags of shortclimbs of sport climbing near Chamonix. The place is very nice and quiet. Climbing mainly on crimps. The upper part of the crag is well sunny and it’s possible to climb in sunny winter days. The difficulty is mainly between F7 and F8. The lower part is more shady because of the trees. The difficulty is lower, mainly between F6 and F7.

Access : From Saint-Gervais, follow the road towards «Les Contamines-Montjoie». After the sign of the end of the village, turn left, cross the hamlet of Bionnay then take a small road on the left towards «Bionnassay». After about 1,8km, park your car on the left just before two airpins. To avoid an interdiction, it’s important to park here and not near the start of the path.

Approach Come back 300m on the road then take a good path on the right. Lower sector : After about 10 minutes on the path, 15m after an airpin to the left, take a small path on the right up to the crag (25 minutes from the parking). Upper sector : Keep the good path farther during 5 minutes and take a small path on the right in the next airpin to the left (35 minutes from the parking).
