Details
A big descent which has become well-known in the rider community.
Only 20 minutes from the base of the Aiguille du Midi, which somewhat explains its popularity.
The upper part of the Glacier Rond can be summed up as a wide 50° run which finishes on a hanging glacier. In hard-pack or icy snow this 200 m ride can become a death slope.
It is essential to study the snow conditions on this upper slope: you’re looking for powder snow, not too deep, without wind slab.
Glacier off piste kit. + skins.
