Tête du Parmelan - Hole de Mercier

General Access

(Google Map) From Annecy, take the road to La Roche sur Foron, and turn rigt to Villaz, then take direction Aviernoz. Follow road sign to go to the Anglettaz chalet. Park as high as possible (variable depending on the season). Take footpath to go to the Dunand refugee (1h to 3h). From there, go to the left with the footpath following the crest (Tête du Parmelan direction). The best way to find the Hole de Mercier is to find the Ritson Gap which is below the crest (20mn from the refugee) and then go inside the Parmelan chalk labyrinthus from around 200m perpendicularly to the footpath.

The highline is crossing a hole.

Anchors

For both side : 5 12mm bolts for force and backup. Bring bolt hangers and screwers.

Linking

Walk around the hole.

Rigging

Primitiv’ system or Linegrip.

This highline is short but really sketchy. It is really hard to find it as every hole seems the same in the Parmelan.
It is possible to sleep in the Dunand refugee (tax in summer, winter refugee in winter).
