Finca Primavera - Loop in the Cocora valley

Hiking loop which allows to see wax palms, hummingbirds, Paramo and the summits of Los Nevados national park.

Day 1

Follow the track along the stream at the NE on 800 meters the take right direction Bosque De Las Palmas. Entrance is $3,000COP. Follow the obvious track during 4 kilometers and then after the Finca la Montana, the trail which bring you down to the valley.

If you want to see hummingbirds, take right and continue until Finca Acaime. The entrance is $5,000COP. Once back on the main trail continue up to Finca Estrella De Agua. Then follow the trail up until you reach the Paramo. Continue the trail up to 3900m and then go down to Finca Primavera.

Day 2

Go up to the N on the not so well marked trail up to 4000m. Continue N down to the stream. Then follow W, passing a abandoned farm and then Finca Argentina. Finally follow the obvious trail back to Bosque De Las Palmas.
