Crêtes de Montferrand - T'es vraiment sûr ?

Go to Saint Mathieu de Treviers in the old village, go on top, and follow the sign “château de Montferrant”, there’s a car park.
Take the footpath to go to the castle, and quit it when you see the red marks (the path is crossed). Go to until the “V”.

Where?

The highline is west from the castle, 500m after. It’s a little breach not the biggest one.

Linking

Easy, throw from east to west (level difference).

Rigging

Pulleys or Primitiv, on the Montferrand castle side (east).

We went first to open the logical 20m highline of the castle. Once there, and with not a lot of gear, we felt that we would have failed to open it, realizing that it was more 30m than 20m and that the setup required a lot more rope we hadn’t !

So we opened that one, at 3 P.M, with only 3 bolts. Extreme opening : 8°C, wind and rain. Are you sure you want to rig it?
