ATTENTION : You are rigging this slackline with in mind that this lake is a water supply for helicopters in case of forest fire. Please do not rig it in summer. Thank you.

General access

(Google Map) Take the road from Margalef that leads to the dam and the lake (embassament in spanish). Continue on the dirt road for 200 meters, and stop the car, the anchors are just on your right.

Where?

The highline is crossing the lake in its narrowest part from one bloc of rock to another one on next side. Tie a rope to your car to access the first anchors (3 meters down from the dirt road).

Linking

We used a inflatable mattress to cross the lake, you can also swim in the water if not too cold.

Rigging

Double pulleys on the dirt road side, then is is quite easy to tension your slack, even if you are alone, because you will use your body weight, hanging in your harness (the pulleys are 3 meters above your head when you stay on the side of the lake).

A day before setting up this highline, we were discussing about the lengh of it, and using every technique to guess the right answer. Sebastien was not convinced, his slackline was 60 meters long only. So I dived in the cold water and I had to swim to the next side with the slack attached to my body. I finally had enough slack length to get to the other side, but then my breath started to become hard, due to the cold of the water. It was a chance I was linked to Sebastien with the slack : I shouted, pull! Pull hard or I will drawn. Well I think I broke the crawl speed world record! The next day, to set up the slack, we used a inflatable mattress to cross the lake!
