Approach

From Finhaut to the beginning of the ridge the approach is straight forward following the trail up to the anti avalanche barriers.

Route

Starting from the anti avalanche, you slowly get to the ridge. No real path seems to exist yet, so you go through some easy scrabble in the alpine végétation. The higher you go the rockier it gets, the ridge gets more sharp. At the 2419 m point on the ridge we repelled down. The next wall, needs to be climbed from the right part the rock on the left are too loose. Next wall was avoided by going around on the left the back-up in the valley. Then mostly of the ridge until the wall to the summit. We went through an obvious chimney, which is the crux. Then to the summit.

Descent

40 m past the summit, a repel is installed mid way in the wall. First repel is to be set (or found :) ) The back the col du Fenestral, then straight down in the valley.

The GPX track has been made by hand, and so need to be taken with a grain of salt. Although the route is not very difficult, not much opportunities to place protections (friends / slings) The route require some alpinism sense.
