Gorges du Fier - Highline

General Access

(Google Map) Drive to Lovagny, next to Annecy, and follow road signs “Gorges du Fier, Chateau de Montrottier”. Park on the parking of the tourist place of the Gorges. Then do not go to the office of the Gorges, but take the “Chemin des mines”. Turn left, after 200m to cross the railroad and follow the footpath. You arrive at the end of the Gorges in the “stone sea”. The line crosses the river on the biggest gap.

Anchors

On each side, 2 8mm speleo wedge bolts for force, and trees for backup.

Linking

Throw the webbing across the river, swim, jump, whatever you want.

Rigging

Primitiv system on the right side of the river.

Line very esthetic, but in fact engaged because you are not very high and both start are close to the rock. Sit starts recommended.

There is a waterline at the end on the gorge, opened by S. Brugalla and E. Leger.
