Rubber Duck is a new route on the NW wall of Punta Torelli. Belays are protected by stainless bolts.
Approach
From Bivouac Pedroni-Del Prá.
Route
L# | 3 | 50m | Easy direct climb crossing few ledges. L# | 6b | 50m | Generally straight up, crossing a slab protected by two bolts (to the right of a wet off width) into a corner. Follow the corner until reaching belay. L# | 5b | 55m | Corner (dihedral) climb. L# | 3 | 35m | Few meters up and then right, crossing a slab with few cracks. L# | 5c | 55m | From belay, some meters right until a delicate steep corner. Climb up the corner and in a favourable place, cross right into the parallel corner. The second corner leads to the belay. L# | 6a+ | 50m | Directly up, crossing vertical terrain protected by piton, bolt into sloping ledge. Still directly up (piton) until reaching a large slab protected by a bolt. L# | 5a | 58m | Easy climb finished by a belay with two friends. L# | 3 | 30m | Easy but a bit unstable terrain leading to a walkable ridge.
Descent
Best descent : scramble down in direction of the Gianetti hut. Returning into Val Codera is possible by crossing Passo Porcelizzo.
