Da Sant’Ambrogio parte, a monte della chiesa, il Sentiero 502, ben segnalato. E’ una larga mulattiera selciata, ornata dalle postazioni di una Via Crucis, che conduce alla borgata di San Pietro (chiesetta) e quindi prosegue a raggiungere gli ultimi metri della strada asfaltata antistante la Sacra.
