The route is marked and secured with pegs and metal cables, and one may eventually use a via ferrata self-belay system.

Mostly a ridge route, and very popular, it is often regarded as the Triglav standard ascent.

### Ascent 
Approx. 1h15 (and more if crowded)

Leave the Triglavski dom mountain hut westwards (signposted Triglav). First go down a bit, and follow the markings. One soon stumbles upon a steep wall that must be traversed to the left. Technically, this traverse with growing exposure is the crux of the whole ascent, pegs and cables facilitating the task. After passing the corner, follow a ledge that ascends (less exposure), up to the ridge. Follow the ridge to the top of Mali Triglav (mali = small). Just before Mali Triglav, the route from the Dom Planika hut joins the ridge from the left. Between Mali Triglav and Triglav, the ridge is exposed and cables are again welcome. Then, until the summit, the ridge widens.

By the same route, or by one of the other possibilities (loop or traverse).

Triglav
