In winter and in winter conditions, the access to the hut Triglavski dom through the Krma valley is the normal route (4 to 6h).
In the Krma valley, drive as high as possible (between alt. 700 and 950m depending on the amount of snow and access conditions). From there, head upstream along the long valley lined with impressive walls, either at the bottom of the valley in the forest, or traversing along the right bank, the latter being quite unpleasant and exposed to avalanches (count 1 to 2 hours, depending on where one parks). The valley turns right, with two locks following. At alt. approx 1600m, veer northwards and reach a shepherd’s hut, passing a step by one of the gullies. Then, the main direction is W and we soon notice the Mali (small) Triglav. Go up the long slopes (exposure E) leading to the mountain hut Triglavski Dom (2515m).
