Ascent

Ascent to the Dom Valentina Staniča hut # (marked and secured, approx. 4h30)

From the improvised parking lot at the Lengarjev Rovt clearing (approx. 980m, Kot Valley access), head upstream in the forest along the marked path (the only such path at the parking lot), on the right bank of the valley. At 1340m, pass a small water source, of course drinkable. At approx. 2050m, after the grassy terrace full of boulders (Debeli Kamen), a signposted route towards Vrbanove Špice forks right. Soon after that, a signposted route towards Rjavina turns left. In both cases, continue straight along the main bed of the valley. After managing a few rock steps, reach the Dom Valentina Staniča hut (2332m).

From the Dom Valentina Staniča hut to the Triglavski Dom hut

From the hut Dom Valentina Staniča, head S and next SW, signposted Triglavski Dom, Kredarica. The route manages part of the Rž ridge (2538m, on the left while going up). Marked and secured route (T3, approx. 1 h).

Winter ascent # (mountaineering, PD− II/X3)

The route takes place in a wild atmosphere. Very low frequentation up to the refuge Dom Valentina Staniča. Ice pick and crampons necessary. Between both huts, crossing Rž can be tricky (PD).
