Du centre de Altenbach, suivre le chemin (marqué “Croix Jaune”) jusqu’au pied de la grande chaume (850 m). Monter la chaume jusqu’à la crête que l’on suit jusqu’à la Route des Crêtes (1188 m). Longer la route jusqu’au parking puis monter au sommet du Grand Ballon, point culminant du massif vosgien…
