Ascent

Follow the comfortable snow-covered road that reaches the Grawandhütte first, then the Alpenrosenhütte and finally the famous and welcoming Berliner Hütte, one of the most famous and welcoming refuges in Tyrol (3 hours). From the shelter in the NE direction along the bottom of the wide valley to its head. Keep to the left and climb with a moderate gradient towards the Schwarzensteinkees glacier.
