Details
Ascent
From the Refuge follow the SW Alpeine Tal and the next Alpeiner Ferner, at an altitude of about 2800 turn to E and, avoiding the seracs on the right, we reach the base of the long (800m) and flat SW ridge of the Ruderhofspitze. With skis on your shoulders and crampons, balanced along the countless exposed but technically easy snow ledges, you reach the final rocks of the shovel. They briefly wander along the S slope and, through a short gully, climb without difficulty to the summit cross!
Descent
As for the climb; alternatively, you can take the S slope towards the Mutterbergalm (OSA).
