Details
The Ulrichshorn (3924 m) is a beautiful snowy peak located at the E end of the Nadelgrat, in the Riedgletscher glacial cirque. Its ascent from the Bordierhütte is often overlooked in favor of the neighboring 4000m peaks (Nadelhorn, Hobarghorn, Dirruhorn). Yet it takes place in a beautiful glacial cirque, and offers a major view of the N face of the Lenzspitze and Nadelhorn from the summit. This summit is often linked to the Nadelhorn or Nadelgrat, or to the Balfrin (3795 m), which offers a superb (and long) descent (2700 m ascent) to Hüttegen in the Saastal.
