## Acceso

Desde la cumbre del telesilla del Index, salir dirección NW para llegar a la morrena ubicada orilla derecha del nevero de la Floria. Remontar la morrena luego un corredor con rocas rojas hasta el pie de un grande gendarme bien individualizado: subimos a la izquierda de aquel gendarme hasta sobrepasar de alguna decena de metros su base arriba. Aquí dejar el corredor por una rampa fácil a la izquierda (hito). Llegamos a una pequeña cañada colgada (nevero) que remontamos fácilmente hasta un collado a la derecha de la aguja de la Glière.

### Acceso: 1h30

Desde el collado, bajar en pedreras grandes (hacia el W) unos 50 metros hasta llegar a una pequeña cresta (hito). Desde entonces, enfilar a la derecha en un corredor vertical (nieve/hielo o roca deslizada) sobre 50 m más o menos luego hacer un ancho quiebro hacia la derecha para llegar a la cañada a la Combe du Pouce (nevero).

Llegar a lo bajo de la cara, el punto culminante de un nevero grande indica el inicio de la vía.

## Itinerario

La vía inicia en una panza fácil de notar con un pitón (a veces bajo la nieve) seguidos por una plaqueta amarilla marca "Fixe" con una vieja cinta, algún metro a la derecha de las vías Cecchinel-Nominé y vía de Français.

### Descenso: 1h

Desde la cumbre, coger la arista E de Pouce (II, hitos): bajamos al inicio el cerro luego el itinerario queda globalmente muy para abajo a la izquierda de la arista para sortear los gendarmes. Volvemos al filo al final para llegar por rocas quebradizas a la cumbre N de la aguja de la Glière. Atravesar al S por pendientes de tarteras para llegar al itinerario de subida y el telesilla.

Una de las más bonitas vías de Aiguilles Rouges en una cara salvaje única en aquel macizo, ambiente paredes grandes extraplomadas del macizo de Mont Blanc. Roca perfecta hasta R7, más deslizado después. Equipamiento bueno a muy bueno pero muchas veces alejado. Año ser en la laja encima de R3, es imposible proteger con friends o fisureros por lo menos hasta R9, fácil de proteger en L10. Todas las reuniones están enlazadas y equipadas para rapelar.

Le Pouce

### Avvicinamento
From the top station of the Index chairlift follow the good track to the NNE, (direction top of the Floria ski tow) to join the faint path on the moraine of the true right bank of the Floria snow/scree field.  This is before you reach the path to the Contreforts de gauche de l'Aig de la Floria.  Go up the moraine then a gully of red rocks to a large obvious pinnacle.  Go up to the left of this pinnacle for 30 or 40 m and leave the gully by an easy ramp on the left (cairn ?).  
You gain a little hanging combe (snow ?) which leads up easily to a col to the right of the Aiguille de la Glière (The descent rejoins here so you can leave any extra equipment).  
From the col go down through large boulders (to the west) about 50m to join a little ridge (cairn). From here climb down a steep gully (snow/ice or friable rock) for about 50m then make a large arc to the right to arrive in the combe of the Pouce, (snow ?).  
Descend the combe to the lowest part of the face (belay visible at 30m, below a clean cut corner). The variant start (recommended) is a good 50m above and to the right of the lowest point, and begins up an easy angled slab/ramp slanting leftwards.

### Discesa
From the summit take the East Ridge of the Pouce (II, cairns): initially following the crest then on the left side for most of the time to avoid the pinnacles.  Regain the crest towards the end to go over broken rocks towards the north summit of the Aiguille de la Glière. Traverse to the south over boulder strewn slopes to reach the col and the ascent route and so back to the chairlift (1-1.30h). When we did the descent we made a couple of short abseils, avoidable if you get the best line.

• Sustained at 5b/c for the first 250m.

• Good bolted belay points.

• For the most part protection on the pitches is with in-situ pegs and nut placements.

• In the lower part the pitches are quite short (about 20m) so it is possible to link some together.

• Consider a bivvy the night before, (e.g. near the Index station) and so not be in a rush to catch the last chairlift down.

Voie des Dalles

Iniciar en el punto más abajo, (reunión igual que la vía de "Dalle au puce" y se ve 30 m más allá, antes de un diedro enderezado).

## Escalada # 4h a 6h

Los 3 primeros largos son los de la vía de Dalle au Pouce. Llegamos por una corta travesía al inicio de la vía Cecchinel-Nominé.

Volvemos al filo al final (aéreo) para llegar por rocas quebradizas a la cumbre N de la aguja de la Glière. Atravesarlas por pendientes de pedreras para llegar al itinerario de subida y el telesilla.

Aunque solo haya 4 largos para la misma vía, la escalada es preciosa y variada. Es una especie de alternativa de la vía de Dalle, pero la vía no es tan mantenida como la vía de los franceses. Un spit en las reuniones además de los pitones. A veces spits en los pasos claves, sino pitones o equipamiento por completar. La bajada rapelando no es posible.

via cechinel - nominé

Climbing with an alpine feel on superb rock, with lots of in-situ pegs in the central part of the route. The belays have usually been improved with a 10mm bolt.

### Approach

From the top station of the Index chairlift go to the NW to join the faint path on the moraine of the true right bank of the Floria snowfield. Go up the moraine then a gully of red rocks to a large obvious pinnacle. Go up to the left of this pinnacle for 30 or 40 m and leave the gully by an easy ramp on the left (cairn). ### Route

The start depends on the level of the snowfield. At the beginning of the season the first pitch starts straight up a chimney, (belay at the base on a thread of purple cord), then a traverse to the left, (peg in the chimney fairly high up).

<h2>Approach # 1h30</h2> <p>From the top station of the Index chairlift go to the NW to join the faint path on the moraine of the true right bank of the Floria snowfield, Go up the moraine then a gully of red rocks to a large obvious pinnacle. Go up to the left of this pinnacle for 30 or 40&#160;m and leave the gully by an easy ramp on the left (cairn.) You gain a little hanging combe (snow?) which leads up easily to a col to the right of the Aiguille de la Glière (The descent rejoins here so you can leave any extra equipment).</p> <p>From the col go down through large boulders (to the west) about 50m to join a little ridge (cairn). From here climb down a steep gully (snow/ice or friable rock) for about 50m, then make a large arc to the right to arrive in the combe of the Pouce, (snow?) Descend the cwm to the lowest part of the face. The route starts on the left, at the highest point of a large snow patch.</p> <h2>Route # 5 to 7h</h2> <p>The start depends on the level of the snowfield. At the beginning of the season the first pitch starts straight up a chimney, (belay at the base on a thread of purple cord,) then a traverse to the left, (peg in the chimney fairly high up.)</p> <p>L#1 | 4b | | L#2 | 5b | | L#3 | 4b | | A little to the right, belay on a terrace. L#4 | 5c | | Straight up, belay under some overhangs L#5 | 5b | | Go some metres up the corner then back to the left above the overhangs. L#6 | 6a | | A smooth chimney corner then slanting cracks. Stay in the right-hand crack, the left-hand one is vegetated (and so ignore the 10mm bolt on the left.) L#7 | 5c | | Climb the open corner L#8 | 5c | | Continue up the corner than traverse under the overhangs. L#9 | 4b | | Small overhang, chimney then a slab to the right. L#10 | 5b | | Easy slab. At the top make a rising traverse to the left above a corner. L#11-12 | 3 | | Easy but grassy</p> <h2>Descent # 1h30</h2> <p>From the summit take the East Ridge of the Pouce (II, cairns)&#160;: initially following the crest then on the left side for most of the time to avoid the pinnacles. Regain the crest towards the end to go over broken rocks towards the north summit of the Aiguille de la Glière. Traverse to the south over boulder strewn slopes to reach the col and the ascent route and so back to the chairlift (1-1h30). When we did the descent we made a couple of short abseils, avoidable if you get the best line.</p>

De l'Index, remonter un couloir évident passant à gauche du gendarme Wehrlin puis tirer légèrement à droite pour rejoindre un col près du sommet N de la Glière.

## Descente

### Glacier de la Floria
Descendre ce couloir de 200 m à 40° environ et rejoindre le glacier de la Floria.

## Montée

### Col E du Pouce
Du glacier de la Floria, virer à gauche et remonter la large pente NNE du Pouce en la traversant jusqu'à son milieu. De là, monter tout droit le long d'un gros rocher. Ensuite repérer le col évident et le rejoindre en empruntant un raide couloir à gauche qui permet de rejoindre la facette terminale que l'on traverse de gauche à droite pour rejoindre le col situé à 2815 m d'altitude.

## Montée à l'Aiguille de la Glière

De l'Index, remonter un couloir évident passant à gauche du gendarme Wehrlin puis tirer légèrement à droite pour rejoindre un col près du sommet N de la Glière.

## Descente par le Glacier de la Floria

Descendre ce couloir de 200 m à 40° environ et descendre encore env. 100 m en tirant à gauche pour gagner le pied de la face NNE du Pouce. Attention, la face n'est pas visible juste après le couloir, il faut descendre un peu pour la voir!

## Montée

Remonter la large pente NNE du Pouce en la traversant jusqu'à son milieu. De là, contourner le gros rocher du centre de la face soit par la gauche soit par la droite pour gagner le centre de la face. Sortir de cette face en prenant à droite sur un éperon. De là, plusieurs possibilités pour sortir: Soit prendre le couloir droit en dessus qui but sur une petite barre rocheuse que l'on contourne par la gauche et ensuite droit en haut (raide). Soit en traversant à droite permettant de gagner un nouveau couloir qui permet d'accéder à la partie finale de la face. On sort au sommet en contournant par la gauche.

## Descente

Descendre la face NNE par le même itinéraire puis rejoindre la combe de Balme. Remonter ensuite au col de Bérard. Descendre la combe de Bérard et gagner le vallon de Bérard. Suivre le chemin qui mène jusqu’au village du Buet. Ensuite prendre le train pour retourner au départ du téléphérique.

- La face NNE demande un enneigement conséquent afin de pouvoir être descendue intégralement à ski.
- Le bas de la face est très large avec plusieurs possibilités de passage.
- Toute la face est assez exposée mais c'est le dernier tiers qui est le plus raide.

<p>On regroupe dans ce massif le chaînon des Dents du Midi (partie la plus septentrionale), le massif du Haut-Giffre, de Sixt et de Faucigny (ce dernier incluant la chaîne des Fiz), ainsi que les Aiguilles Rouges, séparées du massif du Mont-Blanc par l&#8217;Arve.</p>
