Pedestrian access

From the Montenvers station, take the path and ladders down onto the Mer de Glace. Go up the glacier, the route depending on the crevasses. After a long curve to the left and before a long curve to the right, spot the large yellow arrow and the ladders on the true left bank of the glacier. Up the ladders and follow the path to the hut, (3h, 900m height gain).

Overlooking the Mer de Glace within easy access of many modern rock routes. Possibility to bivouac below the hut.
