This route passes through the center of the volcano, easy access from the track of mine.
It begins by a breach of the volcano right amount to the center (path rather on left following the thalweg), then enter the circus through the volcano rather on right. The path is clear.
In the center is mounted on a small cone, and it lies at the foot of the summit represented by small cliffs emerge from the ridge snow.
A corridor beginning at the foot of the cliffs leads to a pass on the right of the summit. From there follow the ridge to the summit after spending a secondary top in snow at 6000 m.
The difficulty lies in the corridor (30-35 °), because the snow can make it difficult for the 300 m (presence of penitents or steps rather painful ice).

Volcan sur la frontière Bolivie / Chili, en forme de cône ouvert sur un coté, recouvert de glace. Première ascension connue <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20131116133013/http://www.los6000dechile.cl/pdf/bch_cumbres_03_acotango.pdf">par le Club Andino de Chile en 1965, mais Pedro Rosende aurait retrouvé des traces d&#8217;activité plus ancienne</a>.

Plus longue que les 2 autres voies (Chilienne et normale), elle commence plus bas et part sur la gauche du volcan (sans entrer dans le cirque comme la voie normale). On rejoint alors les crêtes par l'E, et celles-ci mène au sommet.

Voie longue

Cette voie passe par le Chili, même si elle commence comme la voie normale. Elle contourne le cratère du volcan par la droite, monte sur la crête doucement et suit toute la partie W de la crête (soit un demi-tour) pour atteindre le sommet après avoir gravis l'antécime à 6000 m. Elle passe par le col de la voie normale.
Sur la crête avant le col, elle contourne un petit piton rocheux par la gauche (en contrebas du rocher), passage en neige un peu exposé aux pierres.
Le retour se fait de la même façon.

Voie facile tout en neige plus ou moins dure, un peu plus longue que la voie normale

Cette voie passe par le Chili, même si elle commence comme la voie normale.
