Pedestrian access

Either from La Fouly, Val Ferret, Switzwerland or from Arnuva, Val Ferret, Italy follow the sign-posted path to the Petit Col Ferret, (2490m). (Not to be confused with the main Tour du Mont Blanc paths going to the Grand Col Ferret.) From here a faint path makes a rising traverse (SW, then W then N) around the hillside to the huts, (2724m.) (3h for both ways)

NB. In winter it is best to start at La Fouly and go up the Combe des Fonds to the col, (potential avalanche danger, especially late in the season.)

Details

The Fiorio bivouac (2730m) has 20 places with blankets and a little annex, (barrel shaped) for 4/5 people In summer the water is 15mins away.
