Couloir d’intiation. On peut le rejoindre depuis le sentier du Blaufels près du Frankenthal, mais il est sans doute plus agréable et moins fastidieux de rejoindre le col du Schaeferthal depuis la route des crêtes. A l’auberge, poursuivre direction NW (balisé triangle rouge au cas où) sur quelques dizaines de mètres. Le couloir descend directement depuis le sentier.
