Access by the roadside coming from Servoz (1 km) towards Chamonix by « plaine Saint-Jean ».

Perfect sandstone crag for beginners, a lot of easy routes and straightforward climbing (big and horizontal holds). There are harder athletic pitches on the upper part of the crag. With a long rope, it's possible to climb to the top and lower back to the ground, if you don't clip every bolt in the bottom part to reduce rope drag (12 to 15 quickdraws).

Flat, gravel area at the bottom, (like Les Gaillands), large boulders at the foot of the routes to secure the belayer, picnic tables for when the sun shines&#8230; The routes often gives moves that alternate between friction and good jugs. Lots of intermediary belays for rope manoeuvre practice.</p> <h2>Means of descent</h2> <p>Top roping. For the longer routes a 2×50&#160;m should suffice. It is possible to descend on foot.</p> <h2>Remarks</h2> <p>Faces West. Does not get the sun until the afternoon in Winter.</p>

<p>On regroupe dans ce massif le chaînon des Dents du Midi (partie la plus septentrionale), le massif du Haut-Giffre, de Sixt et de Faucigny (ce dernier incluant la chaîne des Fiz), ainsi que les Aiguilles Rouges, séparées du massif du Mont-Blanc par l&#8217;Arve.</p>
