Details

Ridge in rotten rock, it can be a nightmare.

Climb

From the Goléon refuge, go towards the Lombard glacier. The goal is to reach the point 3181 m on the E ridge. For this two options:

  • Go up Petit Verdillon, going up a little W shortly after the Carraud refuge. Choose the obvious band that rises to the desired point, 50 m above a first flat. At choice by shale or on rock smoothed by water.

  • Follow the path to the foot of the Lombard glacier. Go S at the shale slopes to join Ridge E.

Then follow the sparkling ridge to the summit.

Return

By the normal route, the S edge or the same route.

Uncrowded itinerary, with rotten rock. Prefer him the normal way or the beautiful SSE ridge.
