Triglavski dom (Kredarica) - through the Krma valley

The route through the Krma valley is the longest and easiest route to the Triglavski dom mountain hut.

Ascent

From the parking lot at the Kovinarska koča valley accomodation (hut), continue along the forest road for less than 2km up to the parking lot at the barrier. Continue in the same direction along the marked and secured path indicating Triglav, Triglavski dom, Kredarica. Throughout the route, at junctions, it is these indications that must be followed. After the upper limit of the forest, the path continues in the same direction, with the famous walls of Draški vrh rising to the left. At the end of the valley, at the wide pasture (1580m), the path branches to the right. After a first step, pass a shepherd’s hut and then turn right (to the left, Dom Planika hut indications). After a few short steps more or less covered with mountain pines, the route reaches the foot of Rž. A path to the hut Dom Valentina Staniča forks to the right. Continue to the left (marked) and engage the valley along the wall of Rž which rises on the right. After a steep section, the route takes to the right along a rounded ridge and a flank which leads to the refuge. The hut (as well as Triglav itself) appears only shortly before one reaches it.
