Triglavski dom (Kredarica)

Perched at the foot of the summit edifice, at the start of one of the E ridge routes, the Triglavski dom mountain hut is the highest standing hut on Triglav (and in Slovenia).

The hut is also the start for the winter standard ascent.

  • from Dom Valentina Staniča], head S and next SW, signposted Triglavski dom, Kredarica. The route manages part of the Rž ridge (2538m, on the left while going up). Marked and secured route (T3, approx. 1 h).
  • from Dom Planika], head NE, signposted Triglavski dom, Kredarica. At midway, the path from the Krma valley comes in on the right. Before arriving at the Triglavski dom Hut, beware of eventual rockfall coming from the beginning of the route to Triglav. Marked and secured route (T2, approx. 1h).

Details

Largest mountain hut in Slovenia, built in 1896. Several renovations, the last in 1984. The full name of the mountain hut is Triglavski dom na Kredarici, though often simply called Kredarica.
