From the bus stop at Malga Bedole (end of the road up the Val Genova), there are two options:

- continue along the river and walk up to the Rifugio "Ai Caduti dell'Adamello" alla Lobbia Alta - 3040 m /huts/118567 (4h30)

- go straight up to the Rifugio Città di Trento al Mandrone - 2442 m /huts/118565 (2h30)

From either hut, reach the Adamello glacier, head S up the glacier to the glacial plateau *Pian di Neve* (the largest in Italy), then head W towards the pass between Adamello and Monte Falcone.

Climb the short and easy ridge (~50m, fixed rope, one move of II) and the short and wide snow plateau to the summit.

Descent: same way, or via the SW ridge (easier but longer)

Ascent times"
From Rifugio "Ai Caduti dell'Adamello" alla Lobbia Alta ~4h30
From Rifugio Città di Trento al Mandrone ~ 6h

The Adamello glacier is very long, wide and not very steep. Gets very hot in the sun, and can be very easy to get lost in the fog...

Adamello

### Avvicinamento

From Ponte Maria: take the path on the right bank of the river (Sarca di Genova) to La Tosceda / Ragada. (There is also a bus stop there).

Cross the bridge, and take the path behind the church on the right bank of the stream (Rio Folgorida), reach the Folgorida waterfall, and follow the steep trail (easy to lose) in the forest that follows the cliffs until around 1580m where the trail joins a bigger one. Follow this one in a S direction, and go up until the edge of the forest, then continue in the rocks. The path follows the ridge "Cresta Belvedere" until the Passo delle Topette (2898).

Climb down the pass on the E side (~60m) (easy climb) cross the glacier to the E, and climb up to Passo della Lobbia Alta, and from there reach the Rifugio "Ai Caduti dell'Adamello" alla Lobbia Alta.

The trail is marked until the Passo delle Topette. Between Passo delle Topette and Passo della Lobbia Alta, it is unmarked but obvious in good weather (crossing the glacier and a bit of climbing).
